Fratelli Alessandria ‘Monvigliero’ Barolo 2018

Absolutely pristine on the nose, with ruby royal red fruits, so deep and profound, yet effortless at the same time. A model of elegant power, layered spices and velvety aromatic fruits, so controlled and long and expansive in its complexity and stature, but vertical in its acids, such an uplifting, impressive Barolo. Stunning. A steep, chalk south/southwest facing vineyard sitting at 280 metres above sea level, above San Lorenzo. After a month of gentle maceration, the wine is then aged for 3 years in large wooden vats.
