Kopke 40 Year Old Tawny Port

In 1638,Kopke’s path as a winegrower is entwined with thehistory of its location. The Douro was destined tobecome the chosen stage for this marriage between thewill of man and nature took place.Quinta de So Luiz was acquired in 1922 and has since become the place where all Kopkes DOC Douro wines are produced.The great connoisseurs of Douro wines have always recognised this property as one of the most important in the region, for the quality of its soil and vines and for its cultural traditions.

Deep amber in colour, with a greenish rim. On the nose it is complex, with notes of dried fruits, like raisins, fig and walnut, wrapped in subtle hints of vanilla and honey. On the palate, it is dense, silky and concentrated, with impressive freshness. A powerful and particularly enduring finish.

Dark orange amber with a golden edge. Medium weight and voluptuous to roll around in the mouth. Excellent acidity. Figs, marzipan and walnuts with just a hint of heat on the very long finish. Otherwise, really tasty and sumptuous Tawny.
