Quails’ Gate Red Blend ‘Queue’ 2021

Quails’ Gate’s Upper Boucherie bench vineyard is a southern exposure site featuring volcanic soils rich in mineral deposits. It is one of the few sites in the Kelowna area that ripens blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Queue not only captures the essence of these blocks, but it is also derived from the Latin word coda which in music, is an arrangement that punctuates the end of a symphony. This smooth, rich blend stands up to the most flavourful forces. Queue carries forward an open and expansive bouquet full of blueberry, cocoa and violet.

On the palate, rich waves of black pepper and inescapably supple tannins interlace throughout. The long finish builds gradually with equal measures of strength and elegance.
